JRC 962SP provides earth fault protection for distribution feeders and transformers. The relay measures earth fault current. If it exceeds a set threshold value, then the relay extends a trip signal according to the selected characteristic.
JRD 911SP Provides neutral over current protection for a star connected transformer. The relay measures fundamental frequency component of current and if it exceeds the set threshold, then relay extends a trip signal instantaneously. The relayis insensitive to switching harmonies. All the above mentioned relays derives power supply from line CTs through 10 module and hence does not require any auxiliary supply for it's operation. Therefore, these relays are ideally suited for all applications whre auxiliary supply is not available such as RMU's and unattended substations.

Principle of Operation:
If a fault occurs at the distribution end and the respective protective relay operates but the corresponding CB fails to operate then the system may have to face catastrophic consequences. JRC-154 is a instantaneous and definite time over current relay that also monitors the non-potential contacts of the downstream protective relays. The relay is designed to trip the feeder end CB if the protective relay at the distribution end operates but its corresponding CB fails to operate.
